Design thinking has become a buzzword and a go-to strategy for many learning solutions, replacing the more traditional needs assessments. (Spoiler alert: These are two very different things!) However, it’s challenging for L&D professionals to understand the power of design thinking, and it’s an often misunderstood and misused process. Design thinking certainly has a place in envisioning and creating outstanding learning experiences, but not every project lends itself to it. How can we truly leverage design thinking to improve performance and change behavior? This session will answer this question and lay the foundation to use design thinking in the right way, at the right time.
Learning Objectives:
Identify when to use design thinking to create outstanding learning experiences.
Create learner personas in a rapid fashion or through in-depth research.
Use learner personas to define learner challenges and ideate learner-centric solutions.
