To provide the best experience for our learners, we need to use evidence-based practices. And to use evidence-based practices, we need to be able to decipher what the evidence says! Join this session where we’ll learn to collect, read, and analyze data by doing some research . . . on ourselves! We'll use our phones to answer survey questions—no other devices needed! In this session, we will collect data through coin flips, measuring height, and answering survey questions. You’ll also learn about aspects of data like distribution curves, correlation, and significance. We’ll then discuss our confidence in how accurately the data reflects what it's trying to say. Let's get sampling!
Learning Objectives:
Read and analyze data you collect in your organization.
Create simple data visualizations such as distribution curves and scatter plots.
Evaluate existing research on its significance and confidence at a beginner level.
